Privacy Policy

Last updated January 2025

Space is built around private communities, and privacy is at the centre of how the app works. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the control you have over your information.

Information we collect

When you create an account we collect the details you provide, such as your username, email address, and profile information. When you post media or join a space, we store that content so it can be shown to the members of that space while the thread is active.

How we use your information

We use your information to operate the app, deliver notifications, approve join and follow requests, and keep communities safe. We do not sell your personal data, and there are no advertising networks tracking you inside Space.

24-hour content

Posts and the threads they start expire 24 hours after they are created. Once a thread closes, the associated media is removed from active view. Some data may be retained for a limited period to support safety, moderation, and legal obligations.

Your choices

You can switch between a public and private profile, control who follows you, and leave any space at any time. You can request deletion of your account, which removes your profile and associated content from the app.

Contact

For any questions about this policy or your data, reach out to the Space team through the support options inside the app.
